Ta for those two updates.

Btw, the museum mentioned that the club caretaker actually went into the building after it was bombed (to save as much as he could), at great personal risk.

They should be very grateful to him, too.

Thanks for that - great read.

Btw, the article includes the following:
O’Hagan was gone and there is no official documentation as to why. One Sevilla fan site claims “fans of the time say his love of wine was incompatible with his position as manager”, although this is unverified."

This must be the fan site referred to - http://www.sevillacf.com/entrenadores/MrOHagan.htm

Goggle Translates this as:
Mr. Charles O'Hagan came to Seville from Ireland called by Mr. Ewans
who had been a player of Sevilla and who at that time was working as
an employee at Casa Mac Andrew. He was only one season and at the end of
the season he left because, according to the amateurs of the time,
his love for "tinto" was incompatible with his position as coach.
Even so the British obtained good results in sports in a Seville
that had a group of extraordinary players like Larumbe, Sedeno,
Herminio, Rey, Ocaña, Barragan, Escobar, Gabriel, Kinké, Leon or Brand.
In friendly matches Sevilla won Levante (2-3) in Valencia, Betis (3-0),
Lusitano de Portuga (3-0), again the same team by (2-1) teams Arenas
and Vallana 2-0. Only lost to Polish Krakow 3-0.
In the Andalusian Cup he managed to score the 6th championship once again
against the eternal rival who won 4-2.
Other results were victories against Victoria Plzen of Prague 5-2
and 3-0 against Madrid's Gimnastica.
The season closed with a triumphant tour in the Canary Islands.
