It's a tragic metaphor for the rise of the far right in Europe and elsewhere.

Did they set it on fire or something?

Edit, just seen the word 'metaphor'.

I didn't accuse anybody of starting any fire deliberately, the far right have, however, predictably blamed Muslims, obviously without any evidence whatsoever and purely to whip up hatred against them.

The far right caused the burning and destruction of Europe in the 1930s and 1940s and are intent on destroying the continent again.

Heartbreaking, it really is. It isn't even the most beautiful building in Paris, or even the prettiest church, but it is still an amazing structure full of history.. Well, it was.

The amount of fake sadness from Irish people in full swing.  When we were there for Euro 2016 feck all Irish fans went to see it and were only interested in guzzling pints in the Irish bars.
