And you’re not wrong. We’re becoming more and more like that spoofer who is forever developing the next big app, which never sees the light of day. We’re forced to project into the future to get any joy from the present.

I see people on here are praising an LOI manager. I thought they couldn't cut it at international level

I'd say its more a comparison to Kenny than praise.

Michael O’Neill has something of a pedigree at international level. It just isn’t working out the same way this time.

Michael O'Neill did a phenomenal job the first time around with a very limited squad by taking a pragmatic and disciplined approach in maximizing his team's strengths.  I would not bet against him having similar success in the future.

It’s why I think he’d be a good fit in the immediate term for us.

They have been utterly abysmal, a flukey win against an already qualified, second string side is meaningless. Except to say that even their dismal showing surpasses our own.

I agree. I called for him to be brought in to replace the floundering Kenny long before the North brought him back for a second go round.  He has a proven track record of success by bringing the North to the final 16 in Euro 2016, as well as coming within a highly questionable penalty call against the Swiss of qualifying for the World Cup in 2018.

I’d say the VAR decision that ruled out Marshall’s goal in Copenhagen was the tightest VAR decision I have seen. They’ve been dreadful this campaign, and this result doesn’t change that, but there is no point in looking at this through the prism of their 4-0 defeat to Finland.

Bottom line is our still and hopefully soon to be redundant manager is not as good as the North's manager.

I thought they'd do better in this campaign but a good few mistakes done them more rather than MON being tactically clueless.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Most important position of manager would be a win for O’Neill over us, never mind player comparisons.
We have finished 5th out of 5 host nations for euro 28 now and end of this campaign. Not sure if will have any bearing on the 3 automatic host qualification spots.

No matter what way you look at it, NI still won against a very good Denmark said, that win will instill some hope, belief and confidence in the team going forward.

We are absolutely rock bottom and no position to be mocking our neighbours.

MON will get the boot after the next qualifying campaign, or possibly during it. Every dog has its day, and NI have had theirs. We have better players than they have, with worse results, we know why.
