Yes he certainly did. We love him on Wearside. Quinny was offerered the freedom of Sunderland by the city council but typically turned it down.

Quinny is a total gent. Remember didnt he donate all his testimonial money to charity, cant imagine many other footballers today would do that, especially when alot of them dont need testimonials with the money they make. Then you had some people calling him a w**ker simply because he spoke out about roy keane in 2002.  Anyhow fair play to him cutting prices, more chairman should follow, many oridnary fans are being priced out of going to football.  Yes I would rather people like NIall Quinn invested in Irish football but doesnt mean hes not a good guy.

As the chairman of the club he is just passing on the wishes of the owners,its not necessarily his gesture..I may be wrong about this but I dont think he has his own money invested in Sunderland?

I must admit it would be hard to keep that price when your star player hasn't played in over a year due to a groin injury.

and i did nt ask you about the current climate thanks  all the same though

IF THE STADIUM OF LIGHT WAS FULL EVERY WEEK WOULD HE STILL DROP THE PRICES .
