Noel King as interim. Out of his depth, immature, and a little bit nasty LOL

That is the best description of Noel King  I have ever seen LOL
As I recall it was "a little bit....unpleasant" 😂

Yah think it was 'unpleasant' rather than 'nasty' when Dunphy spitfired his takedown of King LOL

Keven Doyle the natural winger who played umpteen times in that position LOL
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Since when do managers give notice period?LOL  This is not Deloitte.

Managers just resign/quit and take up a new role and theynegotiate settlements.  There is no hanging about.

Maybe we could get a Carsley statement saying 'thanks for the offer Ireland but not this time'

John O Shea interim boss in which we need up sneaking a win against Belgium or Portugal then is offered the gig full time just like Gleeson with the women's team

Picking the right players and tactics should be the priority

The “head coach” and manager distinction is a red herring for fai. They are limited on who they can get with budget and starting to look a bit pathetic now.

Very little difference an international level. No reason why assistant manager couldn’t be more hands on at “coaching” if needs be.

Carsley is not the answer anyway regardless

I think that was Anthony Stokes actually, highly comical all the same.

That sounds very much like Carsley to me, especially the working with young players part.

Notice periods typically arise where a job is permanent (as are most jobs in the real world) whereas most managers are on time limited contracts (as are all players), i.e. you don't join a law firm or an accountants or even Dunnes Stores on a "4 year deal", etc. It would be unusual if Carsely wasn't on a time limited contract but perhaps he isn't?

Wrong thread trap surely.  Anyway we have lost at least 10 matches this year due to bad weather.  Until every club has accesa to astros the move to summer football makes sense.

Gavin Cooney on Prime Time.  Was on Claire Byrne show earlier.  Rte love him.

Yeah the journalists are only getting info when someone is out of the race and they speak to a journalist. The one thing the fai have done is run a tight ship.  No leaks.
