Key:

FUBAR (Floreat Ultonia's Boolean Algorithm)

Teams are ranked by points won only in WC 2018 qualifying

FIFA

All games since October 2013 count towards ranking, with greater weighting for more recent and lesser for friendlies

UEFA

All and only competitive games since September 2012 count, with lesser weighting for those before September 2014. The 'Nations League' draw is based on this ranking and is color-coded 

Elo

Similar to system used to rank chess players globally

Fair Play Floreat Ultonia on presenting a few separate measurements as alternatives to the teeth-rotting, ethic-, National Association- and Cultural-biased, derogatory, exclusionary, retrospective, presumptive, narrow-thinking, establishment-protectiving Coca-cola FIFA Rankings. I believe a Football Fans references to FIFA Rankings can be coorelated with their own bias against World Football.

Fair Play on noting Russia at the top of the list as a reminder of their exclusion from the highest values of the mathematics.
Do you have a totaled Elo value for the teams?
How did you chose the values for WC Qualifier and friendlies? Did you include 'other' competive matches e.g. Confederations Cup.

UEFA ignore friendlies entirely, FIFA and Elo give them a lower rating. Details for the Confeds Cup are in the small print for all 3 official rankings.

Lower again than Serbia.
Japan (44), Korea Republic (51), Saudi Arabia (53), Panama (60), Russia (62). It's a reflection on how bad and unrepresentative the measurement system is when results on the field of play contradict the long list.

Their u19(I think) won the WC a few years back. They havnt really seen the fruits of this yet. Maybe they are on the verges of greatness

But I get the impression that those who generally deride the FIFA and/or UEFA systems, often extol the ELO system instead.

Yet looking at what you posted above, I can see a few anomalies with ELO which bear no relation to what's been happening on the pitch that I can discern i.e.

8 - Netherlands
16 - ROI
21 - Scotland
27 - NI
28 - Greece.

Frankly, those are bullshine. Confused
