Well in that case we can go back to Scotland and Poland at home where it was riding on them and they were very underwhelming. The worst September game I can think of was the nil all v Slovakia. That's why I try not to get too excited by them.

0. Wish tonight was the end of it, knowing it drags on for months makes it worse.

I'm just out of the jax after dropping off a fairly sizable load for the second time this morning. That was entirely related to a lovely day out on the Guinness yesterday though. No real nerves for tonight so far. I'll get my usual bout of deluded optimism once I start walking to the ground.

Not nervous, don't expect, but for the day that's in it you have to try and hope. Play offs beckon

Taking this campaign as a whole, zero.
We scored 3 goals over 180 minutes against the bottom team in Europe (including an own goal). One goal against Georgia (a deadball), one against Denmark ( a deadball), and one against the Swiss. We’ve not conceded much, but have looked vulnerable at times, and the Swiss and Danes almost walked one each into the net. We have a solid team, but a restrictive attitude. Unlike 2017 where in the previous 18 months we had gotten results against the likes of Italy, Wales and Scotland, we have nothing to draw on from the past two years. We also have a very poor home record against good opposition over the past 4 years, since Bosnia came. Anything tonight will be a surprise and a bonus.

It's gone from 0 to a 5 in the past few minutes. I'm starting to delude myself. The Germans hammered us 6-1 in Dublin and we went on to beat then when they came next. Maybe history can repeat itself

Im nervous. There is a lot of negativity and its justified by recent performances. Still think we have it in us to win this game though. Hope everyone gets behind the team and we give it a real go.

7.
Will be 10 at kick off. We’re one game away from qualifying which is unbelievable considering how bad we’ve been in this campaign. |

0. Its win or bust, most likely the latter, and not expecting much. Tough to get nervous when achieving what we need seems such a remote chance

Edgey as feck really can't see us going through and our record in the play offs isn't the best.
