Was at a Celtic game once and Aberdeen fans were singing - "you are a weegie, a weegie bastard you're only happy on giro day" Can't remember the rest, something like your Ma's out stealing your Da's out dealing Those poor victimised Celtic fans, they must feel alienated, Glasgow really is a place apart. I don't think it's a north vs south thing in England, just London clubs. Arsenal and spurs fans like waiving cash at Newcastle fans while signing "we pay your benefits". No one on state benefits has been a premier league season ticket holder in 20 years.
I find the Paddy conversation strange as I've never once been called it. I have heard the reference "having a paddy" used by older generations but I've always ignored it. If you start arguing with people who use such language you'll never win.or change them, only frustrate yourself.

You're obviously not aware that Celtic was founded specifically with the mission to provide food for the poor Irish immigrants of Glasgow, and that the club would not exist only for the famine
Celtic very much is a club apart not just in Scotland but in world terms
Politics and identity are indivisible from Celtic
Little wonder that Celtic and Liverpool have such a friendly relationship, as best exemplified after Hillsborough, but also on full display in the UEFA Cup ties in 1997 and 2003
Both are special clubs which attract a particular, specific form of hatred against them by bigots

Thanks. First time I’d heard that despite being to Celtic Park over 40 times
Why on your brand spanking new thread do you say you can’t decide who you prefer between Celtic and Rangers?

We've somehow plumbed new depths. This is literally the worst thread I've seen on this forum. I thought the 'Blackface' thread from a few months back bad enough, and yet, incredibly, a new low has been reached.
I can only apologise to Ersatz Thistle and any other Scottish people reading this thread; along any with Welsh people, English people, German people, French people or, as is the case in a great many of Vicious Sid's other posts, Russian people, who may be unfortunate enough to stumble upon this thread and others he has contributed to. And I can only say that this poster's views are in no way reflective of all Irish people, or indeed, most Irish people.
If I were Scottish or Welsh and racially abused in the manner the creator of this thread deems acceptable they'd be picking bits of teeth out from the back of their throat for weeks.

You must be well very connected in the Rangers ticket office to have been in the away end for so many derbies

I think most Northern clubs get the dole jibes, including us despite Chester being quite well off for the most part. Yorkshire clubs get the Jimmy Saville chant.

I used enjoy your posts Sid but now you come across as an angry, condescending, pompous bully. You have to accept that not every one is on your frequency. Your map of the world is yours. Some of us mere mortals don"t live in your world. C'est la vie.

I could agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.

It's mad the way some people get annoyed by logical, well reasoned arguing

Sid may be on the spectrum, he is probably drunk but he is keeping the forum alive when there is little to talk about.

Fully agreed. I tend to avoid your postings lately as you just seem to want to row with people and give the impression you are above them. Some of the points you make are good but lost in the constant trying to put people down while trying to debate with you. You are particularly obnoxious to RB, if I were him I'd just ignore you at this stage
