Like saying why don't you live in Bozeman instead of NYC as they both have airports.

Again, thanks for the advice.

It has to be Dublin as that's my work location and secondly moving to the suburbs of the city appeals to me having experienced it previously.

Is rent.ie the best site to be using? I went for a look over the weekend, there seems to be a number of new developments in Malahide. But no sign of them online unfortunately.

The search shall continues it appears, splendid.

yeah,a lot of people prefer to live in Dublin for this reason.

I mean a place to live will take 60% of your wages and it is a sh1thole but at least it's tropical.

Sorry my bad, I was replying to a guy who said it was only €50k after tax and pension.

It would be about €70k after tax assuming 2 incomes.
If the pension contribution were 5% then that would give you about €65k.

SGB I hope your pronouncing Santry correctly, it's San en Tray - it's Dublin's South of France Cool

Freddie there is a lovely house on Clontarf you could probably rent cheap in or even squat, the owner won't be back and there is great security, armed gardai patrol regularly so no need to worry about scumbags, alternately why not look at Celbridge with its private airport that's great for bringing in goodies.
I know nothing :-)
