Jeanette Goldstein, she's also in Terminator 2 and Titanic, Cameron had a few actors he loved working with Lance Henrikson, Michael Biehn, Bill Paxton for example.

Fun fact Michael Biehn wasn't the first choice to play Hicks , it was actually James Remar but he was sacked a few days into filming after he was found doing heroin in his hotel room. Michael Biehn came in to replace him, there are still a few long shot scenes where Remar is still in the film i.e. when they enter the processing plant.

Vasquez also plays John Connors mom in T2

Pulp Fiction has to be up there, they absolutely nailed that casting.

Weaver was the first ever actor to be nominated for an Oscar in a sci-fi film for the part she played in Aliens. Some film in fairness.

Also he drives like a total gentleman, keeping carefully to speed limits and stopping at red lights.  You would think he would just run over people given that he is a psycho out to kill people.  Why didnt he just run over Laurie Strode for example when he had ample opportunity?

Also you would think a full grown man walking around in a scary mask and boiler suit in broad daylight would attract some attention especially in a  busy housing estate.

I suppose he wanted to keep a low profile and if he was to go road rage on people he wouldn’t last ten miles. Instead he had to be patient. While also he didn’t get caught hanging around a school, causing destruction and mayhem to four other teenagers, and oh yeah, driving a marked car for miles. And even after what happened in the first movie, she was sent to a woefully understaffed hospital.

How come Sarah Connor was sent to a mental institution after a man who couldn't be stopped went on a killing spree and in one instance killed 30 cops in a  police station single handedly yet Laurie Strode is considered sane when a man dressed as a mechanic kills only a handful of vagrants and the only witness to the murders is Laurie Strode herself.  Surely she could have come under susipicion especially when Mick is nowhere to be seen after falling off the balcony.  Aul Donald and Laurie were the real killers and Mick was a figment of their imagination.

Lads, I'm not one to obsess but going back to Mchael Myers. Why did he kill the mechanic just to take his clothes but not take his truck?

Why does a psychopath drive so courteously? If he wanted a killing spree just run over your victims in the car no?

Why does he want to kill Laurie strode and her friends?  They've nothing to do with him or his family.

Are those my feet?

Returning to Haddonfield, he causes a citywide blackout and massacres the town's police force before being shot by the state police and falling down a mine shaft

Stolen from someone else who put it better than I could re: Michael Myers' backstory and the problem with some of the sequels.

f**king hate the idea of a Jason prequel. His entire backstory is in the first film. We don't need to see anything more than that. 

At the weekend I was talking to my other half about the Halloween films (we've watched 1-3 together, and she had caught a bit of the Rob Zombie Halloween 2 recently), and something I saw on Twitter - one of the issues with the sequels, and (presumably, I haven't seen them yet) the most recent trilogy, is that the people making them fundamentally misunderstood the central conflict; it's not Laurie Strode vs. Michael Myers, it's Sam Loomis vs. Michael Myers. 

That moved us on to talking about the Rob Zombie movies, and I was saying how much I hated the amount of backstory they gave to Michael Myers - they made his family alcoholic and abusive white trash, they gave him all the dull by-the-numbers "child who will become a serial killer" tropes like torturing animals and poor mental health, and so on. When the whole point is that Michael Myers was a completely ordinary suburban white kid who flipped out and inexplicably killed his family. The idea that anyone was capable of what he did is far scarier than there being a Potential Horror Movie Villain checklist that he had worked through in his origin story.

Basically, there are very few horror movies or horror villains that benefit from a prequel story.
