Yet the positives have been consistently spun all season. It's a mad one tbh - I watch a lot of football, in lots of different leagues, and the stuff United play is probably the hardest chore to watch. I genuinely think they've regressed style wise much closer to where they were under Moyes later into his time at OT. LVG got destroyed by everyone at the club especially the fans, yet he had a clear and distinct style of play even if at times it wasn't the prettiest or 100 percent effective.

I would love to know what tactical attacking style of play Mourinho and United were attempting to use in recent games vs Everton, West Brom and Bournemouth? I think all United fans remember the Fulham game under Moyes where it all turned really sour. United put in about 100 crosses that day. The recent games named above had the exact same style of play, yet very litlte criticism goes Mourinhos way. It's like the supporters have been brainwashed en masse or something.

Worse again, I think that Mourinho is producing little to nothing of note with a far superior playing squad. Mikytharyan and Ibrahimovich alone are massive steps up on the players that were available to previous managers.

If Mourinho managed the 1970 Brazil Team

                                                       Formation without the ball 10-0-0:

                                                              Felix
Alberto Brito Piazza Everaldo Clodoaldo Gerson Jairzinho Tostao Revelino  Pele

                                                      Formation with the ball (7-2-1)
                                                               Felix
Alberto          Brito           Piazza       Everaldo         Clodoaldo        Gerson            Tostao

                                             Jairzinho                             Revelino
                                                                     Pele

This more attacking formation would still require Jairzinho and Revelino to stay back as two holding midfield players.  Pele would be expected to track back and fill in at left back.

Yes very boring alright. Don't think there has been a more negative manager in history.

No.  He was sacked because his political opinions upset the military junta that ruled Brazil at the time.

The book Inverting the Pyramid says that Saldanha got the sack for telling Pele to track back.

"Saldanha felt Pele was not doing sufficient defensive work and publicly admitted he was considering dropping him. He was promptly sacked amid accusations of emotional instability."

Had De Bruyne and Salah at Chelsea, never played them and let them both go for a song.

Let Lukaku go at Chelsea and then signed him for megabucks at Manchester United.

Mourinho's judgement of players is comically bad.

Every club Mourinho has been at, he's won the league in his second season.  The third season is when it all begins to fall apart.  If I was a Man United fan I'd start worrying now, what with yesterday City pretty much wrapping up the Premier League barring an unprecedented collapse.

In 1958 Brasil brought a psychologist to Sweden with them and he 'tested' all the players.

He told the manager that under no circumstances whatsoever should two players be put on the pitch as they had failed all the tests.

They struggled in their first two games without these two players and played them in the third game and the rest is history.

Those two players were Pele and Garrincha.

They never lost a game for Brasil when they played together in nearly 50 games.

Since Friday hes yapped about city players diving, making tactical fouls when they lose possession, being lucky, not getting a penalty for Herrera, not showing respect after winning and that he wouldn’t be allowed to wear a yellow ribbon as a political show of support
