Richard Dunne, Ciaran Clark and Kevin Kilbane, joining Robbie Keane, Caleb Folan and Paul McShane on the injury list for Wednesdays match, and no replacements being called up for them, sorry, but our managers a stubborn, over-paid idiot!!!

What you talking about?
There was a squad of 27 called up. Which leaves 21 players to choose from.
He can use the fringe players who deserve a chance to play.

Only Stokes and Ward are the only 2 players who have not been called up that should have.

Dunne, Keane and Kilbane have nothing to prove to Trap so I am glad to see them sit this one out.

We should defo call up Stokes and Ward. Why not like. He has lost 2 strikers so why doesn't he even want to look at Stokes. It's personal for sure.
Kilbane is out, so we should be calling up a LB as cover = Ward

He should indeed be calling up lads who are close to being in the squad.

Even if we do still have 21 players, the replacement lads will be involved in the National set-up and can only benefit from that. Even if they don't get to play they gain experience from it.

Make no mistake about it. Ward not being in the squad is for Kilbane's benefit. He'll continue to accumulate appearance records and keep out better players for another two years before Cunningham (most likely) will replace him.

Stephen Ward received 4 stitches from that bad tackle from Febergas during the week and didn't play at the weekend, although he was on the bench.

Exactly!!! It doesnt make any sense not calling these lads up. Stokes and Ward's exclusions are unexplainable. I know we seem to give out about Trap quite a bit, but fook me, when he makes such ridiculous decsions, it's very hard not to be extremely frustrated sometimes. Dont give me this ballox of trying to say we shouldnt question someone who has been as successful as Trap; this is just common sense.

Even calling up these fringe players gives them at the very least the experience for the future when we may need to rely on them.
