micks a good manager always has been and I wish him all the best a lot of bile on here towards him some of it way ott. I don’t want MICK back but the problems with Irish football and our team goes way beyond whose manager and it’s going to get a lot worse unless it’s sorted.
One City,One County,One Club GUFC will be back.

He is a good manager and an excellent Championship manager.

Exactly.  Mick did  a decent job for us and left us in better shape than he found us last time out.  I don't want him back either but also wish him all the best and remember him fondly as a far better player and manager than he gets credit for.

Mick was brought in to steady the ship but alway to qualify. Ultimately he didn’t do that but there’s no doubting his first term.

could say that for Hughton as well. Their brand of football is already outdated in 2021 and has no place in the Championship.

Look at the sides doing well. Norwich, Swansea, Brentford

they all play an attractive brand of football. Long ball cloggers like Forest, Cardiff (and others) are languishing in the bottom half.

I blame JD for giving mick such a ridiculous contract when he would have easily taken half that. It was a disaster of an appointment tbh. Added zero. And he didn’t make us better, we still could barely score a goal.

Cardiff is the perfect job for him. No expectations, fans used to route 1 ball.

Nonsense. Cardiff made the play offs last year and came 2nd two years before that. West Brom went up playing solid football last year. Not saying it was as basic as Warnock's Cardiff but it wasn't all that.

Different styles can and have always been effective in any one league, it's not one size fits all.

Set to be announced at Cardiff so those yearning for him can probably let it go now.

Cardiff want Mick whilst The New Saints of Oswestry Town & Llansantffraid Football Club would possibly consider Kenny for a interview.

Cardiff is a tough mining town (not fact checked) Mick comes from SOLID mining stock like Jack Charlton.
Cardiff is a man's man club. Mick is definitely a man's man.

This is a perfect fit and I'm putting my manly money I earned from betting (very manly) on Cardiff getting promoted to the Prima Donna's League of Pansies

I watched the Ireland v Germany game in the World Cup, we played really well. We were penalties away from being our best tournament. The Roy Keane crap detracted away from Mick's achievements and his second stint was rubbish, pity as he should be remembered more fondly.

I wish him well in the Championship. Mick has always been good for Irish players over the years too, long may it continue.
It would damage this forums' reputation

Mccarthy has been in and around the ireland set up since he played for the ireland u23s in 1979.

And for the last 42 years has been a player, a manager and even commentary on ireland games for sky.

Now I'm no fan of his terrible commentary but it must be said he's a legend.

He's on a contract till the end of the season. I'd be surprised if he lasts longer than MON did at Forest.
