Watching Brighton and Southampton in the last week it's clear that both Connolly and Obafemi are hampered a bit by playing alongside total cocks up front. Maupay and Ings are decent players but both seem like complete gloryhunters when they get the ball in the box, no vision for a pass there at all.

I would argue that Connolly and obafemi need to start creating chances for themselves, be more greedy and glory hunters in their own right rather than waiting for maupay or Ings to put them through

How about we tamper our expectations? We have two guys who have broken through to play Premier League football regularly as teens, and have scored and created chances despite playing for teams that aren't very prolific. I'd call that excellent progress.
We're decent enough..

hope he proves me wrong but that is a highly unconventional body type for a modern footballer. Can’t think of any players who are built like that in any top league. He’s doing well anyway and seems to have a couple of facets to his game.

He's short and stocky but he's really strong, has blistering pace, clever movement in the box. Defenders might struggle to mark him

Traore is 3-4 inches taller. Obafemi is just very short and barrel chested, it makes him look heavier than he actually is.

Good man Micheal, did well to stay onside and in the right spot at right time. Be nice if he got on a little run.. Seems to be making good progress, long may it continue.

yes so as I said is there any other players with that body type in elite football?

I think it matters. I look at Troy Parrott and think that’s a perfect body for a footballer. I look at obafemi and think he’s one of a kind.

But at the start I thought he was a shoulder of the last defender type player but there’s a lot more to him than that. He can link it up aswell.

Not top flight, but Akinfenwa was playing in the League One playoff final tonight. He gave a comical interview with Sky after the match.
