I noticed that too - it and the goal should give him great confidence.

Didn't see the first scuffed chance but he had a one on one with the keeper later on that he also failed to convert, though he did force a save.  From what I've seen so far he looks a good prospect and has a knack of getting in to good positions, but needs to work on his composure/finishing.

Still good to see him scoring though, is anyone aware of a younger Irish Premier League goalscorer than 18 years 169 days?

Fantastic! Great to see him given a chance under a new manager.
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

Was heavily involved by all accounts. Missed a couple of great chances but thankfully managed to put that one away.
We're decent enough..

who is our main striker come March? Long still with chances for Obafemi and maybe Maguire off the bench? Bamford could be in contention for starts if he switches.

If Bamford declares and is fit, he's first choice. No question about it.

If Bamford signs up with Rice. He’s 100% our main striker for the next few campaigns. Talented footballer who knows where the bet is. Obafemi has serious potential, things are looking up.

You'd swear Bamford was knocking in hat tricks for a top 6 Premier League side!

I'll settle for Obafemi thanks very much!

Probably. Would still be our best forward by some distance, which says it all!

no way to tell which one of them would be a better option at this point, we've seen obafemi play once for ireland and bamford hasnt even been confirmed yet. that said, the whole point is that obafemi seemingly making progress at a top flight club getting more minutes and a goal and an assist recently, and bamford has a pretty good record over the years if he can stay fit. the important thing is that they are improvements on options we've had recently like o'brien, burke, hogan who have all struggled in the championship this yr for one reason or another
