Spurs tried to sign young Doherty before he signed that new contract with Wolves. He's well settled there but I suppose every player has their price, should Mourinho push it.

Gold is a reliable journalist when it comes to Spurs so I wouldn't dismiss the story completely. I would have thought 12m would be on the low side though in terms of a fee. Then again he's not English so it might be accurate. Give him an England cap and it's £40m plus add-ons minimum.
