Given the opposition it would make sense to shift a centre back over there for extra defensive cover and it also provides an opportunity to call up an extra centre back or two into the squad. McNally and McGuinness both fit and available for selection to cover centre back if someone like O'Shea switches across so this could be an opportunity for Kenny as much as anything - possibly no harm to hold Doherty back for the Dutch game anyway.

Whoever is playing RB is gonna have Ogbene back there helping them out to double up on Mbappe. We're probably gonna have none of the ball and defending most of the night so should be a defender back their rather than moving a midfielder out of position.

Stick O'Shea RB as he's played there for West Brom and have your three CBs of Collins, Duffy, and Egan.

5-3-2 out of possession, 4-3-3 in possession with O'Shea moving to RB and Knight moving out to LW?

Could Omobamidele play RWB?

We need Ogbene closer to Ferguson. We need pace to counter with.

In that setup, Ferguson is going to be very isolated.

Ogbene is perfect for that RW/RAM role behind Ferguson, as he can still be a threat in attack while helping track the runs of Theo Hernandez who is one of France's main attacking outlets.

Doesn't seem to be in O'Neil's plans at the moment, scored two midweek but it's Bueno who is the full-back brought on when they're 3-1 down.

Bueno was a like for like swap at left back. I wouldn’t feel too sore on Doherty’s behalf.
