And Forest's biggest problem seems to be a lack of heart and grit, which is when managers look for the Irish lads...

Watching a football documentary about Clough.  He used to cancel training for no reason at times and get the lads to run through fields of nettles or bring them to a field to pick mushrooms with himLOL

Will Martin start wearing a green jumper with red polo shirt underneath?

Keane joining him at Forest. Only took two weeks of negotiations for them to accept his demands.

Things just got interestingLOL

Took a quick look through Forest's forum to see how they feel about MON's football.  Came across this story:

He's an intelligent bloke and I suspect there is some psychology and devilment going on here. Keep them on their toes, make them hungry. Cloughie used to do it. He told Pearce he wasn't good enough to play for England before his first cap, look how that turned out smile

It might not work with the modern mardy millionaire player but let Martin get on with it. He knows a damn sight more than any of us on here about managing players so maybe we should shut the f**k up and see what he can deliver?
Not quite the same but...

He signed Trevor Francis for a million. First thing he did was send him out to get him an ice cream. Second thing he did was stick him in the reserves. What he ended up with is a player he put in a European Cup Final who was desperate to pay him back.

Maybe such things can be classed as devilment, but win respect and a player who wants to play for you and it's win-win for both concerned.

Clough insisting on calling Kenny Burns, Kenneth. The only other person to call him that was his motherLOL
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

2 defeats in his first 3 games. Normally you get a feel good factor (cliche) when a new man comes in.  He didn't learn from his mistakes with The EIRE and has again decided to go into a job without a someone who can do tactics for him.

Never mind TJ, he'll just find any excuse to complain about or take a pop at certain people

Truly unbelievable behaviour from TJ, speaking about a former Ireland manager in his own thread. Dreadful stuff
