66.67% chance of having to go to Italy or Croatia after NI got the Swiss. And he got the break.

Now I'm not saying Martin O'Neill is lucky but here is some footage of him in a motorbike crash

If we qualify will it confirm MON as our luckiest manager ever?
He's had:
Scotland very unlikely losing in Georgia to open the door for us
Third place making a play off for the first time
Drawing Bosnia in Euro 2016 play off
Drawing Wales as a first seed in the world cup
Scotland losing to Slovenia having gone 1-0 up to open the door for us again
Gareth Bale missing Wales last vital matches
Winning a must win game in Cardiff with our only real chance
Drawing Denmark in world cup play off

Add to that Serbia missing their two best players int he away leg
Fog in Bosnia to ruin their atmosphere and advantage
Getting Italy reserves in the Euros
Own goal in Scotlands game with Slovakia in 88th minute

You have to laughLOL

He's had:
Scotland very unlikely losing in Georgia to open the door for us - we got more points than Scotland over the group
Third place making a play off for the first time - agreed, this was fortunate
Drawing Bosnia in Euro 2016 play off - beat them very comfortably
Drawing Wales as a first seed in the world cup - Wales who'd just been in the Euro semi finals.
Scotland losing to Slovenia having gone 1-0 up to open the door for us again - Slovenia were favourites to win the game. Was a step too far for the Scots, didn't fancy them at all beforehand to get the 3 points.
Gareth Bale missing Wales last vital matches - He should have missed most of the second half had the ref given the red card which he deserved at the Aviva. Had he done so, our best player Seamus Coleman would not have broken his leg and missed half the campaign.
Winning a must win game in Cardiff with our only real chance - nothing lucky about it
Drawing Denmark in world cup play off - nothing lucky about it. Decent team and its a tough draw

Trap got Estonia in the playoffs, the luckiest draw of all. And Armenia bailed us out by beating Slovakia. What's the big deal anyway. Some nation of begrudgers. Horroble f**king trait

He's had:
Scotland very unlikely losing in Georgia to open the door for us- We drew there 1-1 in this campaign. Its hardly Gibraltar. The group was over ten games not one.
Third place making a play off for the first time- Irrelevant, he approached the games with this in his mind. who knows how it would have went anyways if just top 2.
Drawing Bosnia in Euro 2016 play off- They were well thought of at the time, remember not many wanting them. Had beaten Wales 2-0 some weeks previous I remember.
Drawing Wales as a first seed in the world cup- That was a stroke of luck
Scotland losing to Slovenia having gone 1-0 up to open the door for us again-Everyone knew this was the game where we had the best chance of something going our way and it did.
Gareth Bale missing Wales last vital matches- Agree, huge slice of luck.
Winning a must win game in Cardiff with our only real chance- Did a job on them. Hardly lucky was it- they offered nothing and we were clinical.
Drawing Denmark in world cup play off- The best draw we could hope for so bit lucky but all the possible ties were going to be difficult.

Can I just add he did draw Belgium, Sweden and Italy in a group of death at the euros. Was actually a very unfortunate draw that. The euro qualifying draw was hardly a picnic either with Germany, Poland and Scotland.
Walters coming back from an offside position but Shane Long was definitely onside- Shane Lonnggggggg.... has done it!!!!

A group of death where 75% of teams progress

A group of death where you get to play a B side

I'm not begrudging at all. I think he's a great motivator and has done a very good job. He's also though very lucky and it's a fantastic thing to be as a manager.

Incorrect. Ask Turkey how coming third worked out for them.
