ah well. Strike him of the list. When you play for Ireland a keeper definitely has to be able to deal with back passes.

He was all over the place in that game. Won't be getting another chance at that level. Harsh but that's how top flight football works

He was hardly all over the place, he actually didn't have a lot to do, but he was at fault for the goal with a poor clearance. Writing him off is absolute nonsense, he just needs to improve his distribution.

Agreed big mistake for goal nothing really to do other than that made two good saves and nothing he could do about the other two but he probably lose his place now over the mistake.

He took an extra touch under pressure which is something he'll obviously learn from.
It's not the worst mistake in the world for a goalie in fairness. I think De Gea made a similar one before last season but open to correction on it. |

Seemed to be caught in two minds as to whether to roll it to the centre half or clear it, and ended up taking an extra touch before clearing poorly under pressure. That's why so many teams try to press high nowadays.
Not the worst mistake you'll ever see, and if it hadn't led directly to a goal I don't think anyone would really be mentioning it. Higher profile, more experienced goalkeepers have made similar mistakes.

at the moment he’s the next successor for the no.1 jersey....thought the right full he played the ball to should of gone wide again rather than go back to him...he’ll learn and come back stronger no doubt.

It may have escaped yer attention that Francis passed the ball to Traver's weak foot hence the need for a second touch. He certainly has to take the bulk of the blame but an experienced defender should have known better given current day pressing tactics.

Yes Ramsdale made several brilliant saves at home to Brigton last week in the 3-1 win
Is Begovic still at the club?

Ramsdale has been first choice all season, Travers just came in for that one game where Ramsdale was out so he hasn't been dropped as such.
2-0 down here, although there was nothing he could do about either goal. Looks like they're going out of the cup so he may not play for Bournemouth again this season as they're unlikely to switch keepers in the league. A loan to Championship or League 1 would be good but they might want to keep him as back up.
