Question to Mark Hughes today in Manchester:

Q: Mark, what advice would you give to Stephen Ireland about returning to international football with Ireland?

A: "International football for some players is good, for others it brings more problems. It has to be a personal decision. If you're not in the right shape or don't think you're ready, it's in everybody's interest you don't go.'

Thoughts?
Waka waka hey hey, we're in Armenia!

Just read your other comment elsewhere Tuff that it'll be a long time before that fooker is back in a green shirt, well that would be a relief cos now everyone, the Press and the fans should just FORGET about him and look ahead.

My own thoughts on Sparky's comments there are that he (Sparky) is right, issues/frame of mind/injury/whatever the fook it is, you have to have your sh*t together or just forget about performing.  I hope this subject will just go away now after next week's game and we can look forward with the 100%ers in our squad that we need.
We'll never die, we'll never die, we'll keep the Green Flag flying high......Shamrock Rovers will never die, we'll keep the Green Flag Flying high. 19 Leagues and 25 Cups.....

As far as I am concerned he is history why should we let him choose his moment to come back if that’s what he’s after, if things are going well for us for qualification why should we drop somebody else to accommodate him, in years to come he will regret not playing but that’s his problem, we need men to get us out of this group not some child who is going to sulk every 10 minutes.

I like Mark Hughes and to be fair to him he has no option but to support his players so I would have expected a sit on the fence answer from that question, agree with you FW we should just forget about that fooker Ireland Angry, all he is now is a distraction so we should just focus on the players who do want to play for their country.

Stephen who?
Fuk that little prick, he's dead to me now
I know a journo that knows him pretty well and has been talking to him, the little c**t won't be back.

Most people would cut off one of their balls to play for their country

He is over rated anyway. Not guarnateed a place with City and no one apart from Sunderland (surprise surprise, Keane looking at a Corkman) wants him

I think I will only refer to him now as Stephen Manchester.
If he only want to represent Manchester then so be it.

Excellent, Yank! Stephen Manchester! Love it!
How the fu*ker is getting more press then Irish players like Keane, Given, Dunne, and yes, O'Shea who actually turn up and play for us is beyond me. The boy should be viewed as someone who had second thoughts about declaring for a country and decided to tell them to pi$$ off. To me Stephen Manchester sums up all that is wrong with overpriced prima-donna's who play in the Premiership. Forget the pr1ck!Angry I am getting angry again.
There are friendlier places to drink.

but until then can we all just drop the subject..its getting on my nerves now and as FW said..lets concentrate on the squad we have and hope they can get us thru these qualifyers and if Mr Manchester in the future expresses his desire 2 return we can all rant about it then

Steve Manchester Big%20smile

reckon if international football paid the sort of money club football pay to their players, steve might have alleviated his personal problems enough to play for ireland.

IF he does ever come back, it will be similar to the Keane comeback - half the crowd cheering, the other half not so enthusiastic to put it mildly. IF he does come back, he will accepted again, but only after a few games in the green.

Stephen Manchester - quality stuff
