Am in right in saying that if City win the FA Cup that United will go from the Second Qualifying Round to the Group Stage in the Europa League. Does anyone know the permutations if Arsenal win the Europa League?

United fan page on YouTube seem to feel that United will do a Fred/Sanchez against City to ensure they get Fernandes. Third Time lucky?
Linked with everyone under the sun as per usual but if they got him, Tielesman, Rice, Dias, and a striker whilst getting rid of the deadwood, would be a good window. |

Man U will struggle to get rid of the deadwood considering the wages they are on.
They may have to take a hit on them or let the contracts roll off.

If United don't bring in at least two defenders this summer it will be a terrible transfer window. |

What happened to Jolly's boys?
I saw the Arsenal v United game in the cup (Arsenal have a good home record). United looked excellent and had played well in some other games around then too. Cant believe they went to utter sh*t - Huddersfield and Cardiff ffs if they had beaten those two teams they would have finished on 71 points. So all this crap about been a million miles away from the rest of the teams is nonsense

You could also say that they were lucky they weren't battered by Spurs but for an unreal goalkeeping display and some poor finishing, Watford could easily have got something at Old Trafford, and West Ham were robbed with refereeing decisions at OT, so swings and roundabouts really on that argument.

Just like every other team over a season ffs.
My point is really that with a half decent manager they'll be able to push for the top four, a good ways from challenging to win it but that can be said for the other 18 teams now Edited by Bob Hoskins - 14 May 2019 at 12:53pm |

Haven't looked in to it but apparently if Watford win the final, United will have to play in the opening round of qualifying for the EL, starts around the 25th of July, same time they've a preseason game in the US against Spurs.

No idea why Dalot didn't feature more this season. Looks a good player. Jury still out on Shaw, get him off the pies and could be a good option at left full. Lindelöf looks good and Dias from Benfica is a solid centre half. Good back four there. Losing De Gea would obviously mean a replacement needed. No idea who would/could fill that void, especially with no CL football.

Arsenal win the EL & City win the FA Cup - Arsenal into the UCL group stage, United into the EL group stage, Wolves into the EL 2nd qualifying round, Watford not in Europe Arsenal win the EL & Watford win the FA Cup - Arsenal into the UCL group stage, Watford into the EL group stage, United stay in the EL 2nd qualifying round, Wolves not in Europe Chelsea win the EL & City win the FA Cup - Arsenal stay in the EL group stage, United into the EL group stage, Wolves into the EL 2nd qualifying round, Watford not in Europe Chelsea win the EL & Watford win the FA Cup - Arsenal stay in the EL
group stage, Watford into the EL group stage, United stay in the EL 2nd
qualifying round, Wolves not in Europe In short, from a United perspective, the EL final result has no bearing on it. It matters only to Arsenal now. The two events are entirely independent. Tl;dr - Arsenal win the EL, they go into the CL group stage, otherwise they stay in EL group stage City win the Cup, United into the EL group stage, Wolves in 2nd qualifying round; Watford win the Cup, Watford in the EL group stage, United in 2nd qualifying round.

Manchester United will reportedly announce the signing of Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes following the completion of the Nations League finals. The 24-year-old helped Portugal into the final on Wednesday evening with a 3-1 win over Switzerland. Not sure how true it is, but could be a very good signing

Home to Chelsea in the first game.
That's United 3 points off the pace after only one match.

Chelsea are sh*te. And now no Hazard. Unless they appoint a top manager and a load of good players I don't think they will make top 4.

Officially signed now. Is he going to be a first team player next season or are they loaning him out ?
