He had one or two nice touches, seemed to lack pace.

From what I saw he's a long way off first team football with Celtic and us.

You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

Not included in Kenny's U21 squad for Armenia and Sweden.

Slightly odd given that he had a senior call-up in June and that there is only one recognised LB in the squad (Leahy, albeit Lee O'Connor can cover too).

What position does he actually play?

I've heard left back, centre back and midfield.

From what I have read, as well as the little bit I have seen of him, he is seen as the replacement for McGregor. Based on that I wouldn't fancy him at left-back!

Connell's primarily a left back.

In signing Greg Taylor today (he got the #3 jersey too), Celtic have now signed two established players this summer in that position who are ahead of Connell.  At this rate, it looks like he'll find senior opportunities hard to come by.

He's a central midfielder, he's only ever played left-back on a makeshift basis. It's certainly not the position Celtic signed him to play.
We're decent enough..

My mistake - he played primarily as defensive-mid for Bolton in the Championship last year.  Nonetheless, he's not got close to any match-day squads beyond the few pre-season friendlies.

Certainly disappointing that Luca has not even appeared on the bench for Celtic especially when he was only prevented by injury
From being on the bench for Ireland at a higher level....however it’s encouraging that Celtic are now signing Irish players again with Afolabi and O Connor boosting the ranks....obviously Johnny Hayes is there but he should have stayed at Aberdeen from a playing games point of view.

He's well down the pecking order at Celtic.

Doubt we will be seeing him play any time soon, he may make a bench appearance in the league cup.

I'd expect him to be playing in the development squad along with the other new recruits.
