Would highly recommend La Patagonia on Camden High St if you fancy a big juicy Argentinian steak.

Yeah been there too and its good.
I live in Balham and I know its a chain but Bodeans is lovely!

Tayyabs also has the BYO option which is great.

Been to Cattle Grid ? Looks decent but haven't tried it yet.
Cattle Grid was only average, that was a few years ago though.

yeah its only average. The burgers are better than the steaks. But if you want a decent burger you have hache close by or GBK in Clapham.

Fully agree with Tayyabs and Gallipoli. Two top notch joints. BYOB as someone else mentioned re Tayyabs

I'm adding Baltic at Southwark to the recommended Restaurants list

Eastern European/ Baltics/ South Caucaus themed food with a cool Vodka bar.

Grub was top notch and the flavoured Vodka's are unreal - Raspberry and the Hazelnut being highlights - we eschewed dessert in favour of Hazelnut Vodka - a great choice.

For anybody in the East End who likes chicken.

Although I rather Hull to London Northern Soul I suppose - nothing beats a pint in the Grafton or the Lion and Key amongst men donning a trusty cable knit or fair isle pattern sweater enjoying a game of dominos.

Not a Vodafone or Filofax in sight.

Why is everything served in jars, vases and flower pots? What is wrong with plates, cups and glasses?

I didn't click on the link when I saw Gluten free.

Feel sorry for genuine celiacs, anywhere that advertises as Gluten free will surely be full of C***s
