Not sure what it is but when we played in Cyprus last year it wasn't too bad seems to cool down considerably in the evening.  Tie well balanced, if Dundalk score I'd expect them to progress.

They're playing at 1630 though, will be really tough. Especially if AEK have some of their back 5 back.

That's Irish time!

I think when cork played them it was a 6pm(Irish Time) KO.

Two simple mistakes will always be punished by decent opposition.

Take away them mistakes and there wasn't really a whole lot in it

Warsaw knocked out last night by the Slovakian  champions, they really were there for the taking for cork if it wasn't for the stupid mistakes

yep, caulfield, much like nutsy at bohs, looks a good manager in our little fishpond but once tactics have to shift into something other than 4-5-1 he’s f**ked. Kenny after many outings in euro battles is flexible enough to counter the opposition .

Yep didn't take our chances, I hope we have a right go off Rossenborg as I reckon they are there for the taking, but I think Caulfield will just be too cautious again

We went for it at home and created more chances than I thought possible they were just squandered. I don't think you can blame JC for that.

Yeah I'm not JC's biggest fan but not sure you can blame him for strikers missing sitters, 40 yard freak goals, keeper injuries and sub keeper howlers

Tough draw in fairness, unlikely to be as difficult next year regardless of competition.

Hopefully City can add a little joy to this thread in the coming weeks as so far it's been a bad year.

City to play Shkendija of Macedonia or Salzburg in the EL play off round should we beat Rosenborg.

Shkendija would seem beatable, but think Rosenborg will be hard.

Shouldn't be as tough as Legia, but still a challenge nonetheless. If we can actually finish our chances this time around, then we have a great chance. Rosenborg seem to be in disarray lately. I'm expecting Shkendija to be beaten by RB Salzburg, but they shouldn't be underestimated; they've reached the EL play off round in 16/17 and 17/18.

Apart from the first twenty minutes at Celtic Park, when Rodgers got the tactics wrong, Rosenborg didn't impress me at all. Celtic could have scored a lot more that night. I don't think they are anything for City to be frightened of, especially with the supposed unhappiness in the camp. They are definitely not as good as last season.

Should City beat Rosenborg, the home leg against Shkëndija will take place in Thomond Park.

Paddy Power are offering odds of 1/16 that Salzburg will progress, while bet365 is giving odds of 1/9 of Salzburg going through.

I should probably stop assuming City will face Shkëndija; I don't want to tempt fate!
