I don't think they'll be fooled by the result, especially Klopp.

He at least will know that it was overall a poor enough performance against a team which itself is struggling.

In fact I'd go to say that if Spurs had had any two (even one?) of Son, Richarlisson or Kulusevski from the start, we'd likely have seen a very different result.

Certainly the reaction of the away support was very muted, especially as the match went on. They knew what they were watching.

Liverpool were missing Jota and Diaz in attack who are just as important to Liverpool as Son and Richarlison are to Spurs! Cry more Terri.

Not "crying" at all, merely calling it as I see it.

While Liverpool's probllems yesterday weren''t much to do with their attack, at least while Salah is playing like he was.

Whereas Spurs were reduced first to playing 3-5-2, when Conte prefers 3-4-3, and then to picking a 33 y.o. winger (Perisic) as one of the "2". Had even 5th choice striker Moura been fully fit, he'd surely have posed more of a threat.

As it was, Liverpool still needed a howler by Dier to turn a draw into a win.

Which is not to deny them it, since Spurs also deserved everything they got i.e. zilch.

"The Athletic" is now reporting that the Fenway Group has put LFC up for sale.

What will their fans do should some despotic Middle East oil regime move in? LOL

If they did try and buy them the fans would protest. Much as I would expect the same from say Man United and some other clubs fans.

There is a reason 'insert nation state' they bought clubs like Man City and Newcastle as their fan base were/are starved of any kind of success so they willingly ignored the owners in the hope of future glories.

That's today. If they had of tried to buy Liverpool after Hicks and Gillet then who knows they could have gotten the club.

In fairness to Man City there wasn't as much scrutiny at the time of the purchase as there is today. You cannot say the same for Newcastle

Lots of rumours on Twitter of interest from Arab/Oil nations in buying the club.
And lots of Liverpool fans welcoming this news also

This could be hilarious

Doesn't seem to be any current credible interest from Oil states.

Sounds like their was misbehaviour on both sides last night which is a shame after the emails send during the week asking people to behave. Hopefully they find everyone responsible and ban them all.

Ah right, it’s everyone’s fault when Liverpool fans leave a 15 year old with life changing injuries

Didn't see Liverpool getting Gakpo at all. Very good signing..

Hard to see where he fits into the team though, an embarrassment of riches amongst  Salah, Jota, Firmino, Diaz and even Juandy Carroll.

The couple of young fellas that came on yesterday were very good too. Not as down about the team for the second half of season now.
Relating to Gakpo, funny enough I was putting him up there are the player of the world cup most likely to turn out to be a flop!
But it's good to see Liverpool competing and buying those type of star names.  Not too bad of a fee considering
