Must be very frustrating to be a Liverpool fan. We all know their potential. They have a phenomenal attack but if they're misfiring or having an off day there really isn't an alternative. A long season ahead for them. The manager gets an awful lot of slack for his personality but the truth is he hasn't been able to manage them correctly, yes he kept Coutinho but who has he brought in to strengthen them? Another fast attacker, a mediocre Arsenal squad player, a championship left back, if they're looking to compete for the league it's not good enough and the manager should be held accountable.

Some serious over-reaction here. Before the last international break, things looked a lot different so this break might be coming at the right time.
Yes, there are some issues at the back but we are still creating chances (hence my post above wondering if there is anywhere to see the expected goals per game stats) so if that continues then it's only a matter of time before we start scoring again. Obviously it's been slightly disappointing recently but the season is still very young.

Not sure what is funny about that - They are a valid, useful and pretty much universally used across top level football.

This
Liverpool always seem to have 6/7 top players that get let down by average players.
Is the board making funds available or is it the managers fault?

Here are a couple of articles that explain the stat and how it is used :

For a team that is expected to make 4 and put in some sort of a title challenge this article is a smidge on the worrying side.

Yeah, I found it rather strange how lads haven't heard of the expected goal stat tbh.

It's as mainstream as most stats nowadays like and very interesting!

Like all of these stats, they don't tell you the full story on their own but help towards building a picture and can certainly help coaches looking to address issues.
In this instance, and without having seen the stats for Liverpool recently, I can't help but feel that the stat would be high and given we haven't been scoring too many goals, that would lead me to conclude that we are still creating chances but not taking them, which should hopefully change.
But it would help to actually see the stats !

That we're creating the chances is a big plus, be a lot worse if this wasn't happening, but we're still taking only a small minority of them nearly 2 months into the season and the defensive issues are still glaringly obvious 2 years into Klopp's time in charge - why hasn't this been sorted?
Some people just deserve a slap
