Just had a look there, it is third oldest tournament still going in Ireland and I reckon about 9th oldest worldwide. Pity that it is now an afterthought.

3rd round Collinstown 1:0 Killester United 4th round Shamrock Rovers v. Collinstown Athlone Town v. Wexford Youths UCD AFC v. Crumlin Utd v. Willow Park Cabinteely Utd v. Tolka Rovers or Bluebell Utd. Drogheda Utd v. Bohemian FC Longford Town v. Thomas Town or Drumcondra FC Shelbourne FC v. Dundalk FC Bray Wanderers v. Small crowd Town fielded mostly young side. However a couple of young local lads got a chance and that's important.

Wexford Youths 3:2 Collinstown aet. Collinstown go into 2-0 lead. Eric Molloy with 2 goals in normal time 87' and 89', third in extra time 3 minutes from end
Leinster Senior Cup Semi-Final, Monday 23rd May, UCD AFC v. Bohemian FC, UCD Bowl, ko 19:45 UCD Bowl is the most entertaining venue in the country at the moment. UCD will be up for it and should be another end to end cracker.

I think its a good opportunity for LOI sides to give their u19 players experience to play with/against senior players in competitive football.

today Tues 09th May UCD AFC v Cabinteely FC, UCD Bowl, ko 19:45 South Dublin Derby, the ding-dong league match here finished 2-2 after marty waters two goal UCD came back with a Cian Kavanagh and Georgie Kelly goal a piece. Great match in prospect at a sunny UCD Bowl. |
