Apparently Juventus were celebrating some annivarsary and asked their fans to vote on who was their greatest player of all time. Some Irish lad remembered that Ronnie O'Brien was there for a while and decided to vote for him and got his mates to do so also. This gathered momentum until he was a clear leader until the club took the poll of their site!
The legend that is Ronnie O'Brien.

The Juve poll was during pre-season and was for fans to vote for who the best new signing was, O'Brien was pretty much unknown, and was probably 19 or 20 at the time. He walked the poll after an email went around Ireland, there were a couple of big name signings that year as well. The Juve fans probably thought they had a new Maradona on their hands LOLLOL I don't think Juve took it off their site, they saw the funny side of it.
The Time poll came a few months later and again Ronnie was running away with it before he got taken off by the suits at Time.
