2 from Almeria, Eibar, Deportivo and Granada will go down today.

Almeria and Eibar have to win to have any chance of staying up.

Almeria play Valencia who need to win to make sure of a CL spot.
Eibar are at home to already relegated Cordoba so have a great chance of winning.
Deportivo are away to Barcelona who have Messi and Neymar starting.
Granada are at home to Atletico Madrid who need a point to make sure they finish 3rd.

All the different permutations here...

Deportivo pull off a miraculous escape.

Granada stay up after a 0-0 draw with Atletico(just 1 shot on target in that game).

Valencia back in the Champions League. Sevilla will join them if they win the Europa League.

Cordoba, Almeria and Eibar down.

Getafe may follow them if they don't settle their €13m tax debts.

Eibar presumably staying up at Elche's expense. The league have yet to confirm this.

Last series of matches in La Segunda today. Sporting Gijón beat Champions Betis 3-0 in Sevilla and both are promoted to La Liga. Patrick O'Connell & Kevin Moran enjoying a gargle Beer

Las Palmas, Valladolid, Zaragoza & Girona go into the playoffs. Hope the latter go up. Las Palmas finished the season strongly tho and would be seen as the main threat to promotion.

Racing Santander had yet another mare of a season and are relegated along with Andalucía's Huelva and Catalans Sabadell & Barcelona B.

Girona conceded a 91st minute goal to Lugo which meant Sporting hopped over them from 3rd to 2nd. Girona then scored in the 92nd minute, the crowd and players went wild but the goal was correctly ruled to be offside. Then the lino got hit by a missile from the crowd. Players went to the dressing room, had showers, came back later to play the final 40 seconds in front of an almost empty ground. Finished 1-1. Girona go into the play offs.

Almost as dramatic as last season when Las Palmas supporters invade the pitch early, only for them to conceded with the last kick of the game once they were cleared back off the pitch.

Crazy game earlier in La Segunda promotion play-off. Catalans Girona leading 3-0 after the first leg, incredibly lost 1-4 at home to go out on away goals!
Girona (3rd) finished 21pts above Zaragoza (6th) in the League and you'd have to wonder is a two-leg tie a fair way to settle a season long of toil given a lucrative prize in La Liga is at stake.

Zaragoza face Las Palmas now with the first leg Wednesday at La Romareda. I fancy the Canarians to flutter their way to the top table. 1-1 first leg and a Las Palmas 2-1 home victory in the return (they are very strong at home).

Las Palmas leading on away goals(2-0 on the day, 3-3 agg) with a few minutes remaining in the promotion play off. They must make sure nobody invades the pitch this time.
