Yeah so?  I'm talking about Ireland and what I said and I was correct.

Plus the reason I bumped that thread is the fact that everyone said we had a great chance to win t he group before a ball was even kicked contrary t Jon Walters saying that ''everyone gave us no chance''.

There's a difference between meeting one's targets and meeting one's expectations.

For example.  Ireland scored early against Denmark.  Everyone looked at each other and laughed in expectation we would not hold onto the lead. This duly happened.  Does MON deserve credit for meeting our expectations?

The target for the group was winning it (except in MON's mind).  Everyone (bar MON) felt it was well within our capability to do so.  But I and other expected to not meet this target because of the manager and other reasons.  We don't have the mentality to win the group when its there for us and MON is a big reason for that too. Just look at his quotes. Its as if we are the worst team i football and he is working miracles to even be in with a chance of a play off.

It was injury himself or move to Sunderland, he made the right choice.

Injuring yourself in order to collapse a move to Sunderland, he's a very forward thinking man.

Jon Walters going nowhere as he bids to play at Euro 2020:

https://m.independent.ie/sport/soccer/international-soccer/seamus-coleman-back-and-jon-walters-going-nowhere-as-he-bids-to-play-at-euro-2020-36726972.html

Glad that he's decided to stick around. I can't see him being used wide anymore but he's still a useful option to have as a central striker, and is obviously a good character to have about the place.

He shouldn't have been used out wide at any stage last campaign, the legs are gone.

Would be a very good option off the bench as a striker.

Good that he's chosen to remain available. I expect he'll be phased out over the next 12 months in any case, maybe quicker if Robinson and Bamford are integrated quickly.
We're decent enough..

Isnt the Bamford talk only that....just fan talk.
Has given zero indication he wants to play for us.

That's why I said "if" he's integrated.
