Back with Sunderland for another year. He'll be needed more than ever this season as an experienced head for the youngsters.

Think it's good for him, Sunderland and Eire.

Getting nervous every time the name of one of our (possible) starting XI v Georgia/Serbia comes up in a thread.
Need as few injuries as possible for the Sept double header.

John got Man of the Man on the radio in the Carlisle game last from former Sunderland centre half Gary Bennett.

From the Northern Echo.

O’SHEA: 8/10 At the heart of a much-improved defensive effort that laid the foundations for the victory over Burton Albion.

Man Of The Match: JOHN O’SHEA – Used all his experience to marshal the Sunderland defence and his desire ensured that a clean sheet was finally achieved and fully deserved.

Perhaps could have done with his experience in the play off rather than the hapless Clarke.

The fact you can't even spell his name probably says enough about how much attention you pay to him. What exactly was it that he did wrong against Denmark?

Chris Coleman has heaped praise on John O’Shea for the job he does off the field for Sunderland.

“He has had over 100 caps for his country, he has played at the top level all of his career,” Coleman said of his captain.

“Everyone else sees the finished article on the pitch but I see him during the week, in training, and in the dressing room, with the younger players.

“He is very calm, he is an intelligent boy and we will need that calmness and that professionalism. No one is better at that than him I promise you."

“He has been fabulous from the first day I walked into the club.”

Coleman must be grateful that Bale didn’t cripple him in Dublin
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"
