Im surprised he didnt get more of a shout in the first place, hes a fairly similar manager to Carlsey with a lot more senior experience and has already worked with the FAI / senior team.

Was he in the dugout for the 3-1 win at the weekend?

Seems ridiculously harsh to judge him after less than a week at the club.

Burnley fans actually didn't mind Shearer from my recollection. He was discovered for Southampton by Jack Hixon who was Burnley chief scout in the north east for about 20 years and had sent a string of talented players to Burnley. They just wished Hixon was still working for Burnley when he discovered Shearer.

I don't think he was in the dugout the previous game but sat in the stands. The fans are saying the players more or less instigated their own tactics for the game and played really well. They are saying that even though Eustace watched them win well, he totally changed the tactics for his game in charge, played totally defensively and some fans were saying it was their worst performance of the season, following on from their best. That us why many are already calling for him to be sacked.

The Burnley fans knew Shearer was only at Blackburn because they had more money than anyone else had in those days 😉

Playing hoofball apparentlyShocked

I wonder about him as he wasn't in charge for the 3-1 win and sat up int he stands.  They went 3-0 up after maybe 25 mins and he runs down and sits on the bench.  Sign of a bit of a spoofer me thinks.  The last fella who did the exact same thing was Paul Clement at Swansea.

Trying to take the credit when winning when it was nothing to do with them.   You can bet your bottom dollar if they were 2-0 down he would have stayed in the stands and not got involved.

He mustn't rate Moran. He hasn't started any of the 5 games since Eustace was appointed.

Style of play issue. Eustace likes his direct football.

Apparently they have played ugly hoofball since he has taken over.  Some fans want him gone already.

That’s what you want for Ireland isn’t it.

God no. We need something far more primitive.

Style of play issue. Eustace likes his direct football.

It's been a pretty good loan move overall. It'd be a shame for it to end on a whimper. 9 assists so far.

I think he has a chance at getting minutes at Brighton next season. Lallana will likely retire. Milner is 38 and will probably become a player-coach.

His versatility is something De Zerbri likes in a player.

Dodged a bullet not having him as coach I reckon.  Doing a bad job at Blackburn.  Hasn't won a game yet and is playing shocking football.

Hes been in charge for 7 games, has drawn 5 lost 2. Every result has been fine margins. Its not like its been loss after loss and on the end of spankings. They were a mess when he took over too, theyre not any worse off now.

Id back him to turn a few of those draws onto wins and keep them up.
