Makes complete fools of  fans who buy season tickets or ordinary tickets.

It's not lost revenue if they wouldn't have been sold either way. Which they wouldn't have been.

Our hardcore is only 20 odd thousand and always has been. 17k v Brazil in 87. 28k v Luxembourg in a vital Euro 88 qualifier. Final game v Bulgaria that campaign had less than 40k iirc. Big Italia 90 bandwagon before capacity went down to 33k in 92.

That's not condoning it btw and it's another thing to keep the story going but let's keep our eye on the ball. There's nothing to stop him doing this and he can argue valid reasons why he did. Lots of bigger stuff to raise questions on.

All opinions are my own and have f**k all to do with Mullingar RISSC CRISC Ticket Office or the FAI

Now that Delaney is out of the way, the board are trying to save their own arses. There are some new additions which might be the exception and should stay on I really don't know, but the majority of the board have to go with Delaney this week

Arguing over seagulls, the 88 clan and free tickets is a waste of time.

Stick to the important issues, a new ceo, a new board and a new structure of proper and transparent governance. Everything else will fall into place if these three happen
Romario 2016: And the ticket mafia gets caught! Well, four years ago I had already told the government.

I'll believe it when I see it
'FAI chiefs have vowed to furnish politicians with answers to questions they dodged at the Oireachtas committee hearing by the close of business today.'

No, no, no...they've got it completely wrong!!! Don't they know they're supposed to wait till this Friday to issue that statement...and then provide the figures exactly at quitting time that day (and leg it out of Abbottstown within a minute of sending it!) so that nothing gets done about till after the Easter holidays? LOLLOLLOL

  • Breaking: Sport Ireland will launch audit of finance and governance at the FAI after the association’s committee hearing last week raised new concerns about the FAI board’s oversight and governance roles.

BREAKING: Sport Ireland reveals terms for FAI to resume public funding

    • An audit of the sporting body’s governance and financial control.
    • The establishment of a liaison process with the sporting body to closely monitor, verify and support (as appropriate) the NGB’s implementation of the audit recommendations to verify compliance with the Terms and Conditions of Grant Approval.
    • The liaison process is overseen by Sport Ireland’s Audit & Risk Committee, with periodic updates and recommendations made to the Board.
    • Grant Funding is withheld until sufficient progress has been made on implementing the audit recommendations, and governance and financial control issues have been progressed.
    • Once progress is made on implementing the audit recommendations, and assurance is received of the effectiveness of governance and financial control, staggered payments are generally made to the NGB in question

  • John Delaney has just left a Dublin hotel after a meeting with the board of the FAI. No comment as he left the building

the main thing here is that Sport ireland force them to change the board without mentioning a change of the board , otherwise FIFA or UEFA might step in and suspend us.

of course if they did there would be uproar as UEFA would be defending the indefensible.

personally i would take a suspension of our teams in return  for real change but lets hope it doesn't come to that.
