I enjoy Jeff and it's all a bit of fun when you see him as a fan celebrate the wins and suffer the defeats on air. But he defo over-stepped the mark on Saturday. If he was that bothered then tweet about it later or ring into 606 or something.

I don't think anybody minds him showing a bit of passion, especially on a show that only survives on his puns and the stupidity of the others, but it was very unprofessional and does make them look a bit tinpot. It is bad enough for the monkey hangers to be laughed at on the pitch, now they are being laughed at off it as well! |

I think he went too far. He humiliated Dave Jones. Apparently he is retiring from SSN anyway. He had nothing to lose.

Yeah, have to agree. Who will replace him? In fairness, he does a great job. Massive shoes to fill.

He is 62 so you'd have to say he'll be retiring soon enough, albeit Martin Tyler is ten years older and is still going.
In terms of who would replace him, I think David Jones has filled in for him at times this season but I don't think he brings the same entertainment as Stelling. Maybe Jim White? |

He would only want him sacked again. I'm not a fan of the show anyway, it survived solely on him. I think when he goes they should look at doing something different.
