He already "has to" start for Ireland though. He's been consistently picked by the last 2 managers, and he'll probably be picked by Kenny as well because he's better than any of our other centre mids.

We're decent enough..

Just read on Sky Sports that Milan are after Jazzy Jeff Thought it had to be a wind up. Even checked the calendar to see it wasn't the 1st April. |

I think he is useless, but he is. Who is better than him? The options, apart from the young fellas, are hopeless.

McCarthy, Cullen, Molumby, Alan Browne better than him "at the moment" Hendrick has something... but he very rarely utilises it. Just cause he plays for a premier league team is not justification enough for starting him. Kenny won't be carrying any players who have intentions of "going missing", especially in midfield, which is integral to Kenny's philosophy and style.

It seems that it's mostly agreed that he's underperformed for ireland over the last few years but i must agree he's the best midfielder we have. He starts every game at a higher level than other options.
If the manager can get the best out of hendrick we'll be a better team. I think we already get the best out of other midfielders at the moment and it doesnt amount to much

Browne's nowhere near good enough and the other three all play further back and, even at that, the others all have reasons not to be trusted there.

If it’s true, it’s more a sign of how far AC Milan have fallen than how good Hendrick is.

Was a joke. The Irish media claimed the Old Lady were after him in 2011.

At that time the Old Lady was mainly interested in Wayne Rooney.

He'll need to do a 14 day quarantine in Italy first which should be a breeze as he's been in quarantined himself from Irish football for the last 3 years or so.
