John and Edward to star in The Simpsons?

'X Factor' stars John and Edward are reportedly lined up to appear in an episode of 'The Simpsons'.

The twins from Lucan - who became famous on the show for their huge hairstyles, elaborate dance routines - have reportedly caught the eye of the US animated sitcom's creators and producers are now working on a storyline to include the 18-year-old Dubliners.

A spokesperson for producers Fox told The Sun newspaper: "Castings are not something we can talk publicly about but we are taking a look at the boys.

"We love anything Irish - we set a whole show out there last year.

They are certainly charming and good looking fellows."

John and Edward have previously spoken about their love of 'The Simpsons' and admitted they are desperate to land a guest role.

Edward said: "We would love to be on 'The Simpsons'. John, Edward and 'The Simpsons' - we're best friends with Bart."
