I'm pro McLain as the kids call him but he must be a bit part player if he's allowed go on tele the night before a game or maybe I'm too harsh on modern management.

I'd imagine he was booked as a guest quite some time ago (at least 6 weeks ago) and he got the club's permission then (or since, if he wasnt with Wrexham then). I'm sure Wrexham werent going to cancel his contract because he agreed to do an interview on his national broadcaster weeks ago!
