Has been linked with a loan move Celtic in the last few days, though the rumour seems to have been started by Jim White, and I'm not sure how many reliable sources he has at Parkhead.

Can't see him going back up to Scotland to be abused every second week.

Would be a good move for both him and Celtic otherwise.

He played for Ireland at U17 through to U21 level whilst a teenager at Hamilton, and must have had to put up with a fair degree of stick, so I'm not sure it'd worry him too much at 28.

Seems, going by Twitter, that a lot of Everton fans want him to stay and add a bit of steel to their midfield.

Given his history of injuries prior to the broken leg, it'll be interesting to see how his body holds up playing that style under Bielsa.

on a positive note it appears he has moved up the pecking order with gueye's move to psg imminent. hopefully he can get minutes on the pitch before the international break.

Why don't you approach the bench and ask him how he is?
