For a big lad he seems very comfortable on the ball. He should be in the next Ireland squad if he keeps this form up

Yeah he looks very comfortable on the ball.

That piano music is so f**king annoying though.

So he kept me soul for ransom.

O'Shea O'Brien Scales
Omobamidele Collins
Ogbene Knight Johnston
Ferguson Szmodics

If Man City can play with five CBs (fair enough Villa beat them) then why can't we try it out for sh*ts and giggles.

Very like Collins with his passing range and forward runs, but looks a lot more comfortable on the ball in defense under pressure being able to out muscle his opponents, getting turned and passing it with ease.

Hard to not see him in the next squad with Omobamidele not getting a kick and Egan out injured.

Noticed that he seems to be able to use his body very well too.

Resoundingly positive replies to that Tweet that even my Leaving Cert French could translate.

Interesting statistic highlighted here by OL's in-house TV channel: O'Brien has committed only one foul over the last five matches. Of course, that in itself isn't necessarily a sign of good form but it does point to O'Brien being particularly assured in duels and not giving away unnecessary frees, which have been a problem earlier in the season for Lyon.

He really should be ahead of Omobamidele in the pecking order now.

Personally I prefer the piano to a loud thumping dance track montage normally reserved for an eastern European wonderkid

Very impressive clip of one game.  Really noticeable that he plays the ball quickly often first time and with pace into the midfield.  This fives the midfielder if they are good enough more time on the ball.  Half our problem under Kenny was the pace of our passes was too slow which puts players under pressure. I would call him into the squad.
AKA pedantic kunt

O’Brien has been flying himself but nice to see the team pick up the pace a bit with him. Fantastic move for him he’s been a revelation and fairplay to this lad for showing some ambition with his career plenty Irish players could learn from the likes of him and Ebosele.

Am not really sure he had too much of a choice.

3 wins on the trot and now 4th from bottom.
Flying so high, trying to remember
How many cigarettes did I bring along?
When I get down I'll jump in a taxi cab
Driving through London town, to cry you a song
