Apart from Kane, I'm not sure of a single player who accrues more notional 'taxes' than Grealish, and it is complicated by the fact that Villa dont need the money in the same way other clubs might. In truth, they could afford to keep him.
It will be interesting to see him in the City team, surrounded by top, top players, an if he flourishes, I will concede that I was wrong when seeing him as over-rated, but I still maintain he is.

There were reports yesterday that Villa were offering him more wages to stay than City did. There have been stories since that he's now the highest paid player in the league so that, if true, would make the initial stories bullsh*t.
Seeing tweets from journalists that he's on 230k per week but bonuses could raise it to over 300k p/w |

Did he get a chin implant? Saw a picture of him today and noticed he has a pronounced cleft chin which I never noticed before. Look up old pictures of him from his days at Villa and he doesn't have it.
Bizarre.

Jack's Dad Kevin out in Qatar in his "lucky" waitcoat, apparently specially ordered for the World Cup (he must already have had the bow tie): I bet that goes down well amongst all his old Warwickshire GAA mates Edited by Territorial - 03 Dec 2022 at 5:53pm |

His father seems like an awful idiot. Remember him going on the radio after Aston Villas win over Liverpool in the FA Cup in 2015 practically trying to take credit for his performance. Ireland were about to play England in a friendly at the time too and he said Jack could play one half for Ireland and one half for England. He said Jack just 'went with the flow' when it came to playing for Ireland underage...didnt sound like it meant that much to him

Article today on how O'Neil said Grealish and Rice and their dads didn't want them to get capped by Ireland. I kinda knew that for Jack but didn't know that fully for Declan.

Its a bit ironic that everyone including the media is lauding him for his drinking and partying the last few days, the very same ones making him out to be a disgrace every other summer he was off on his holidays getting pissed. ...at least hes not still Irish though, I can only imagine the amount of unbearable articles pushed out by balls.ie and joe.ie about his every move

Saw someone make a very valid point in twitter imaging the different reaction if it was a young black footballer

If the figures being quoted for Declan Rice's proposed transfer to Arsenal come to fruition, we once had lads in our ranks that would ultimately become, in combination worth £200 Million.
