Yeah weren't Chelsea already caught breaking the rules signing players from outside the EU that were U18. Unless you're Evan Ferguson is it worth the hassle.

More and more clubs now have links to European clubs. City have a couple and one Irish player signed for them. Tony Bloom owns Union SG, Wolves have their link with Grasshopper and Radcliffe owns Nice so United will have that link. That's the only work around unless British clubs fancy going the legal route against FIFA.

The best young players will still find their way to England. I don’t think it’s only down to Brexit why many Irish players don’t go to British clubs every summer like they use to, it’s mostly down to English clubs filling their academies from around the world and not just Ireland and Britain. Was getting worse before Brexit.
