If the nations league games have showed anything is that Coleman when he’s fit should be first choice ahead of Doherty. Think Dohertys defending has left a lot to be desired. We were badly lacking leadership which Coleman offers too it’s just a huge pity he hasn’t available for any of the games in October, November. Not saying we should rule Doherty our completely but if he’s to be a starter he should be tried higher up the pitch.

I think its more Stephen Kennys quotes about him from last time coupled with the fact Ranz is not getting any first team football at the moment.

It will only take one less than great game for him to become a naughty boy again to some. Bit of balance regarding our younger players would be a welcome change.

Also coupled with the fact that Randolph isn’t actually playing in goal regularly and the lad in question is tailor made for the way the manager is trying to play.

As it stands Kelleher may have more gametime then Randolph himself going into March. If Randolph was genuinely top class I’d say make an exception.

He’s been a great servant for us no doubt but top top class he ain’t.
