Great stuff. I hope he can stay fit. He really deserves a change of luck.

Fair play to him for continuing to battle back. I think it's fairly inevitable he'll continue to suffer fairly frequent injuries throughout his career, but hopefully they're of the more minor variety than the sort he's used to.
We're decent enough..

While I agree with your first sentence, he is still only 24 (according to Wikipedia, which I accept isn't 100% trustworthy).

No you're right, he is 24. I guess the point I was making is how many 25/26+ year olds leave the LoI for England and go on to have a top level career. There's an opportunity to go over as a teenager, there's another opportunity to go over again in your early 20s if you don't make it the first time round, but that's almost always it.

Yes, he was the only one I could think of, even then he went over at 25 and only managed two seasons in the Premier League.

So if it's going to happen for Jack it needs to happen soon.

Not the LOI, but Gareth McAuley was 25/26 before he went over England from Larne (I think?).

Aston Villa are reported to have made a £5 million offer for James McCarthy, who has one year left on his current contract with Crystal Palace. Or two years, other reports claim, as Palace can exercise an additional one year option.

West Ham are being linked again with Shane Duffy, whom they made a move for previously in January. David Moyes knows him well from the early days at Everton.

Perfect fit. Himself and Diop could make a strong partnership if the latter remains there this summer.

Good move for James, but probably horrible news for Hourihane.
