Whelan to Hearts confirmed. Good chance he'll start the Switzerland game despite the conjecture.

I think a large part of that conjecture was based on him remaining without a club. If he gets a few games for Hearts between now and the Swiss game then it's hard to see him being overlooked.

I'd imagine there's a decent chance Whelan will go straight into the Hearts starting line-up, whereas McCarthy might have to bide his time for an opportunity at Palace. This may well be a deciding factor. And Glenn's done well for us so far this campaign.

Ayman Ben Mohammed signed for Le Havre from Tunis. Great move in a promising career

No. Has apparently had a few offers. Time for him to pick one and go with it now as it will take him a while to get back up to match pace.

Personally would like to see him go with a Championship, League 1 or Scottish team so that he has a realistic chance of getting first team football this season.

Yeah, he is a Tunisian international now, although I didn’t really know where to put this otherwise.

I could think of one place...
Greed has won, big finance has won. Whatever small role elite clubs still play in the local communities from which they grew is dwarfed now by their position as global brands.
