Whelan should get another club handily enough, he has 2 good loan spells in L2 under his belt. Hard to know where Masterson will end up.

There was talk of Norwich sniffing around Masterson earlier this season.

Can’t help but feel that Liverpool have let him down. Not a minute at the club or a minute on loan and he’s 20. I’d think Masterson and his representatives couldn’t wait any longer.

Honestly I’d rather be get down to league 1/2 and prove himself in the first team for a season or two, rather than spend another year in the reserves with Norwich.

Yeah, moving to Norwich would have a feeling of Cleary moving to Birmingham. Wasted 2 years there and has only really started to show his quality since moving back to Ireland and playing regularly for Dundalk.

Spot on. To be 20 and have had no experience (disregarding training with first team and being in squads) of first team football is not a good position to be in. I'd actually place some of the blame on his representatives too. It was very clear this season that he was not going to be anywhere near a first team appearance and should have been looking elsewhere. His next move will be a big one for his development.
