Thinking from the 90s on, wasn't old enough at the time to fully appreciate the music of the 80s.

Rubyhorse were good, that sparkle song is my phone alarm, girlfriend hates it. Is David Kitt still around? Any others?

Anybody know the name of the singer/songwriter who had a song on a guinness ad? His death was a few years before Guinness used the song or something like that

Mic Christopher was his name and Heyday was the name of the song, that is if I'm thinking of the same ad as yourself.
I think he died backstage at a Frames gig, helping to set up the rig or something, supposedly he was carrying an amp or speaker up some steps, fell and banged his head.
Purely hearsay and conjecture, but as accurate as your gonna get

Sultans of Ping reforemed about two years ago.

Bands of the moment.
I haven't included any of the excellent dance/electro acts. Hystereo and Japanese Postars could be bigger than any of the below but as it's bands we are discussing...

Fight Like Apes
Super Extra Bonus Party
Channel1
Jape
Alloy Mental
Cap Pas Cap
Hassle Merchants
Messiah J And The Experts
Sounds Of System Breakdown
The Negative Way
Twinkranes
Warlords of Pez
Romario 2016: And the ticket mafia gets caught! Well, four years ago I had already told the government.

Super Extra Bonus Party won the Choice music award for best Irish album of the year, when they were announced every other band was sick..they were total outsiders but they are brilliant.

go through the list of bands their and you'll find many of the above.
Yeah forgot about Ham Sandwich they just realised a new album haven;'t heard it but was recommeneded it.

youtube Warlords of Pez mad f**kers-wont break into the mainstream mind
