I think the Tri colour Idea is great, along with the flags on the seats similar to the rugby! Surely the FAI would do something along those lines? It was done for the Estonia game when we quslified to

Plastic flags on seats should only be used for ramming up Delaney's hole.
I cannot think of one intimidating atmosphere that involves plastic flags. I certainly didn't see any in the Bombonera last night. If we are using rugby fans as a benchmark for creating intimidation we may as well just pack it in. People get up in arms here about a few smokebombs and then we are suggesting copying Chelsea fc, founded 2003

I wonder did 3 supply these flags for the rugby the last two weekends. They are decent and would work well for us.

Plastic flags are the cheapest and most unintimadting thing you could possibly have, get the flipping pyro out, green smokebombs and a massive over head flag with some sort of inspiring image/message on it. The poles made a holy show of us last time they came to the Aviva and they will do it again unless we show we are capable of creating an atmosphere on home soil.

That is the stuff Ibaraki. An orange one or two would be class too.
Someone have word who is in charge of the tunes. Get the atmosphere going before hand, we can take it from the anthems!
If we vould get all four sides singing ybig from the end of the anthems to kick off followed by an uplifting song to be agreed on it would be class.
Will never happen though.

Ignoring the rugby comparison with things on seats. Any display needing fans holding up something on seats that will inspire the team need to be way better than the flag. Yer ten years too late. The players entering the pitch will have played in Tyne / wear derbies, Manchester derbies, Glasgow, merseyside ,and others. The first thing they will see when they come out is the empty premium who are still in the bar. Plastic flags on seats bollix. As for that effect on the Polish players, I doubt they'd even notice it. Maybe if they have a 3rd choice keeper, he may mention the difference between the Ivory Coast Flag and Ireland, to his brother, if he's into polish table quizzes

What we need! and dare I say it, is what Norn Iron had when they beat Russia , England and Portugal in Windsor in the last 12 Years, with a sh*te team when we haven't had one scalp in corporate comfy Aviiva that's Aviva. DId I Say Aviiiva. ( I think they may have drawn with Portugal or Russia )
