Another Lawal mistake. Couple of clumsy mistakes now over the 2 games from him has cost us a few goals.

Nothing much he could do about it with the deflection it happens

Moved his hand towards it, foolish

Great first half- shows what an Irish team is capable of when We adopt a pragmatic/defensive approach against better opposition . Unfortunate to be going in level

Think we can win here though, Armstrong causing them loads of trouble in the channels. Nothing to fear against this Italian side.

Youre watching a slo-mo replay, it happened in a fraction of a second in real time!

That's 3 penalities conceded in 5 games for the U21s.

Armstrong only scores sh*t goals, but he's an absolute work horse.

Jon Walters mark 2, but possibly with a higher ceiling.

He could cause havoc upfront with Ferguson.

Good ball in from Grehan. Good to see an Irish team score so early in the second half. Normally it's the other way around. Turkey also beat Norway.

Get in there but I think we'll need a third goal.

Has serious  pace and strength. Much higher ceiling than Walters with his pace.

Italians not enjoying the scrappy nature of this game. Very unlike an Italian team.

Wilfried Gnonto (Leeds) - Championship appearances 10, goals 1, assists 1, market value 18 million euro.
Sinclair Armstrong (QPR) - Championship appearances 10, goals 1, assists 2, market value 900k.

Interesting difference in the values of the two lads. Both aged 20.
