Also seen in that article

"King, 62, also leads up the FAI’s talent identification process, charged with spotting players eligible under the granny rule"

no wonder so many have slipped the net.

I fully expect Robbie to the Ireland Manager one day

Fair play to him. Coincidentally, I was looking the other day at The FA's website. A UEFA Pro licence costs the guts of 10 grand.

Carsley would be a massive appointment. He’s been to the World Cup with us, played with big clubs, actually managed in the Championship with success, coached Man City U19s alongside Pep. We should definitely get him back in our system.

Mohan would be a great appointment in recognition of his success so far. The players know him and he can get performances out of them.

I have a feeling that Mark Kinsella has been earmarked to succeed King. He’s been working with him for the last year. A decent coach with good experience but doesn’t exactly set the pulse racing.
You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

Tom Mohan is a former Finn Harps midfielder and Head Coach of Ireland’s Under 19 team.

A native of Aughadrumsee, Co.Fermanagh, he played seven seasons with Harps having moved to the Ballybofey side in 1998. Having completed his Level 1 coaching badge and UEFA ‘B’ Licence during his playing days, Mohan advanced on to do his UEFA ‘A’ Licence. A development officer with the Football Association of Ireland, based in Cavan, Mohan was involved with underage Irish set-ups under the management of Sean McCaffrey, Joe Boyle and John Morling before being appointed Under 17 manager in September 2012.

Tom undertook his UEFA Pro Licence with the FAI in 2014.

Ye he was, good enough reason to get rid off him.

Agree about Tom Mohan bringing them up another level.

If that happens though, imagine King getting the u19 job and getting his hands on that promising group of lads DeadDead

Nah he'll most likely move into a nice cushy job in Abbotstown

Will most likely be Tom Mohan you'd imagine, but he's done a decent enough job with U19's I'd be happy with that

Great news if it happens, only issue is I believe this spoofer is employed by the FAI so will still be hanging around. I had many a argument with this guy and he is a bully.

Would be great if Carsley could be tempted to take the job.
I'd have no issue with Mohan either given the job he has done with the underage groups.

Good stuff Kinger, forget those technically gifted softies; what we need is more lower league bruisers. It's "mens" football after all...
We're decent enough..
